Business visa for Egypt
The business visa can be used to travel to Egypt for attending business meetings, taking part in business trainings, attending workshops, visiting trade fairs, negotiating with business partners, signing contracts, or meeting (potential) clients. In addition, you are also allowed to undertake tourist activities in Egypt while holding a business visa.
With a business visa for Egypt, you are allowed to engage in tourist activities. However, it is not permitted to travel to Egypt for business purposes on a tourist visa. Make sure you apply for the correct visa type for your trip.
Visa types and validity
There is a business visa available for single entry and multiple entries. The single-entry business visa has a validity of 90 days, with a maximum stay of 30 days. The multiple-entry business visa is valid for 180 days, with a maximum stay of 90 days within the entire validity period.

Application procedure
To apply for a business visa for Egypt, you must always contact the Egyptian embassy in your home country. In the UK, the Egyptian embassy is situated in London. In Ireland, the embassy is in Dublin. The processing time for applications is approximately 7 days.
To submit an application at the embassy, you must provide the following documents:
- Your passport with at least 6 months validity at the time of your expected arrival in Egypt
- Copy of the first page of your passport (data page)
- 2 biometric passport photos
- Invitation letter from the organisation in Egypt and a letter from your organisation in your home country
- Copy of your residence permit (if applicable)
Digital nomads in Egypt
Egypt does not offer a specific visa for digital nomads. In practice, many digital nomads travel to Egypt using a standard tourist visa.
