The application process for the Egypt visa
If you want to obtain a visa for Egypt, you must complete the online application form. Here you can find a step-by-step guide on how to do this and how to receive your visa. Be sure to start filling in the form well in advance, preferably several weeks or months before your arrival in Egypt.
Preparing your visa application
Before you begin completing the visa application form, it is wise to prepare a few things in advance. If you are travelling as part of a group, you can submit a group application. To do so, you will need the passports of all travellers, or at least a photo or scan of each passport’s information page. Please note that children must also have their own passport and visa. To be on the safe side, we also recommend reading the page with the visa requirements for Egypt to check whether each traveller is eligible to use this digital travel authorisation.

You then enter your (expected) date of arrival and your email address, and click the green “Apply now” button.
Enter your contact details in the application form
Once you have opened the form, you will see several fields for your contact details. If you wish to submit a group application for the Egypt visa, you only need to enter your own contact details. This makes submitting a group application less of a hassle than completing separate forms for each individual.
General travel details
The same applies to your travel details; if you are travelling as a group, you only need to enter these details once. This section of the form asks for the departure location of your first flight. You also have to fill in your arrival and departure dates. If these have not yet In this section of the form, you will be asked, among other things, where your flight departs from. Are you making a stopover or transfer? In that case, enter the departure location of your first flight (i.e. before the transfer). You will also be asked for your arrival and departure dates. If these are not yet fixed, you may provide an estimate. Make sure you always comply with the validity period of the Egypt visa.
Details of your accommodation
You do not need to have all your accommodation arranged when you start completing the Egypt visa application form. You must have at least one stay booked, as you will need to provide its contact details in the form. Please note that you must enter the details of an organisation based in Egypt, not the details of your travel agency in the UK. If you have booked your trip through a European tour operator and are unsure where you will be staying, you can request this information from your tour operator.
Details of each traveller
The next step is to enter the passport details of all travellers in the visa application. It is very important to do this carefully, as any errors may render the visa invalid. In addition to passport details, you will also need to provide some general information. You will need to indicate whether the traveller is married, whether they have ever held a passport from another country, and whether they have previously visited Egypt. If any of this applies, you should also provide the dates and accommodation details of the previous trip (or an estimate).
Paying the fee
One of the last steps in the application process is to pay the fee for the Egypt visa. You can do this using credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay or Trustly.
Submitting a passport scan
After completing the payment, you must upload a passport scan for each traveller using the upload module that appears immediately afterwards. If you don’t have the scans to hand at that moment, you can choose to upload them later. Please note that the average processing time of 11 days only begins once all documents have been correctly submitted. You only need to provide a scan or photo of the passport page that includes the holder’s photograph. The page must be fully visible, clear, and free of any watermarks.
Receiving your Egypt visa
Once all details, passport scans, and the payment have been received correctly, your Egypt visa application will be processed. As soon as your application has been approved, you will receive an email and a text message. The email will include a link to the status page, where you can download and print your Egypt visa. It is important that you keep the visa with your passport in your hand luggage and bring it with you to Egypt.
