The visa is valid for 90 days and allows a maximum stay of 30 consecutive days. There is both a single-entry and a multiple-entry visa available. Select the appropriate visa for your holiday
There are various types of visas for Egypt. These can be divided into two categories: physical visas and electronic visas. For a physical visa, you must make an appointment at the Egyptian embassy. This is only necessary if you intend to stay in the country for more than 30 consecutive days, or if you are travelling for a reason other than a holiday. If you are going on a holiday, the electronic visa will be sufficient in most cases. You can easily obtain the e-visa online, which means that you won't need to visit the embassy.

Make sure to check whether you meet the requirements for the Egypt visa. Your passport must be valid for at least six months at the time of your arrival in Egypt, and you must travel using the same passport you used for your visa application. If you are visiting friends or family in Egypt during your holiday, they must provide an invitation letter, which is not required if you are only travelling for a holiday. Finally, you should be aware that you may only travel during the validity period of the visit. It is therefore important to take the validity period of the Egypt visa into account.

Submit your application easily online
You can apply for the Egypt visa by completing the online application form (this takes approximately five minutes) and paying the fee via credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay or Trustly. You will generally receive your Egypt visa within 11 days by email. You must then print it out and take it with you when you travel. Keep your Egypt visa with you throughout your entire journey (including on the plane). The Egyptian authorities may request that you show it at any time. In short, the procedure is as follows:
- You check whether you meet the visa requirements
- You complete the online application form
- You make the payment (multiple payment methods available)
- You upload a scan or photo of your passport’s information page
- You wait for your Egypt visa to be approved
- You print the visa and take it with you on your trip
Travelling with your family and/or minors
If you are going on a holiday with children, do not forget that they must each have their own Egypt visa. If a child is travelling without their parents or guardians, the accompanying adult must carry a declaration signed by both parents or guardians, stating that they give permission for you to travel with the child or children. If you are travelling with your family, you can submit a group application by entering the details of all travelling companions in a single application form. To do so, click the ‘Add a traveller’ button at the bottom of the form. This allows you to easily apply for a visa for each person travelling with you without having to re-enter all the travel details each time.
